Qingdao Decent Group engineered a modular remote mining lab solution for a Pakistani client, dramatically cutting analysis time and securing sample integrity in remote exploration areas.
Facing the severe and common challenges of on-site sample preparation in remote Pakistani mining areas, Qingdao Decent Group, leveraging its deep technical expertise and superior customization capabilities, successfully delivered a one-stop remote mining lab solution. This innovative remote mining lab not only precisely solved the client’s operational difficulties in remote regions but also, through its innovative modular and pre-installed design, enabled rapid deployment and flexible expansion, injecting strong momentum into improving the client’s mining exploration efficiency and accuracy.
In the resource-rich remote mining areas of Pakistan, mining companies often face the challenge of mineral sample analysis: after collecting mineral samples, transporting them to a professional sample analysis laboratory for processing is not only costly and time-consuming, but also prone to changes in the samples during long-distance transportation, affecting the accuracy of the test results. Establishing traditional, fixed laboratories on-site requires significant time and financial investment, often making it difficult to profit in the early stages of exploration.
After collecting critical mineral samples from remote locations, transporting them to centralized laboratories meant:
- Weeks of delays in obtaining crucial analytical results
- Significant financial burden from transportation logistics
- Compromised sample integrity from rough handling during transit
- Inability to make timely operational decisions
Client Requirements: The Need for an Agile Remote Mining Lab
The client laid out three specific, high-priority requirements that demanded an innovative, customized engineering approach:
Rapid Deployment and Efficient Analysis
The client requires the laboratory to be deployed and operational as quickly as possible upon arrival at the site, providing accurate data support for comprehensive exploration activities in the mining area.
Space Utilization and Functional Integration
Within the confines of a limited standard-sized container space, the client demanded a scientifically designed layout and efficient workflow. This design had to seamlessly integrate the entire sample preparation process—including drying, handling, processing, and storage—while strictly ensuring an efficient and rational workflow for demanding experimental operations.
Flexibility and Future Expansion
The client’s experimental and exploration processes were not static. Based on the principle of reusability for future containerized laboratories, the client desired a highly flexible sample preparation laboratory designed to adapt to future layout modifications and upgrades.

The DECENT Solution: One-Stop Customization for the Remote Mining Lab
Based on a deep understanding of the client’s precise needs and the logistical constraints of the region, the Qingdao Decent Group R&D and engineering team designed and executed a complete sample preparation container laboratory solution. This highly integrated and flexible solution met and exceeded the Pakistani client’s expectations, delivering a mobile exploration center on time.
Modular Design Concept and Pre-Installation
We utilized a standard 40’HQ container as the robust, transportable carrier. However, the internal structure housed a fully functional, modern sample preparation laboratory. Crucially, all integrated DECENT sample preparation equipment—including the DDO-2-4-5000E electric heating oven, BDA1500B A-type workbench, sample racks, and the DDC-LD6000 dust removal system—was pre-positioned, fully installed, and initially tested within the container at the factory before shipment.
This pre-installation model drastically shortened on-site deployment time. Upon arrival at the remote Pakistani mining area, the customer required only basic power and water connections, allowing for almost immediate commencement of operations, greatly reducing time and cost.
Scientific Internal Zoning and Workflow Planning
Our engineering team collaborated closely with the customer to design the internal layout based on the standard sample preparation process: drying, sample preparation (crushing/pulverizing), and storage.
- Workflow Optimization: Equipment placement was meticulously arranged according to the customer’s ideal sample preparation operation flow, creating a highly efficient path that minimizes unnecessary movement of laboratory personnel and maximizes work efficiency.
- Health and Safety: Simultaneously, a complete DECENT dust removal system was strategically connected to each piece of processing equipment. This robust system ensures a clean internal working environment, strictly maintaining the health and safety of employees working within the remote mining lab.
Proactive Scalability Space Reservation: Future-Proofing Investment
Based on a deep understanding of the customer’s need for operational flexibility, we specifically planned and reserved ample space during the design phase. This dedicated area was engineered to allow the client to easily install additional heavy-duty DECENT equipment, such as primary jaw crushers or pulverizers, according to their future workload needs. This proactive design ensured an operational layout that perfectly suits their complete experimental workflow as the mine grows.
This flexible and forward-thinking design avoided the need for costly, large-scale laboratory reconstruction due to changing workflow requirements, effectively saving on reconstruction costs and preventing resource waste.
After delivery and minimal on-site connection work, the remote mining lab was quickly put into use at the mining site. This strategic deployment successfully moved the sample preparation process closer to the sampling point, significantly shortening the sample processing cycle from weeks to mere days. Crucially, it eliminated the logistical losses and financial costs associated with the long-distance transportation of raw samples.
The interior of this modular container laboratory is purpose-built for efficient and safe sample drying and preparation in field settings. Designed with functionality and workflow optimization in mind, the interior features:
- A high-capacity DECENT drying oven, enabling rapid and uniform moisture removal from bulk samples, a key step in accurate analysis.
- Dedicated workbenches for safe sample handling, labeling, and preliminary processing.
