Professionally provide various types of standard test sieves
A standard test sieve is a commonly used particle size analysis equipment in laboratories, widely applied in fields such as minerals, metallurgy, chemical engineering, pharmaceuticals, food, and environmental protection. It is primarily used for particle size distribution measurement of granular materials to assess their particle size characteristics and quality.
[ Structural features ]
A standard test sieve mainly consists of components such as sieve frame, sieve mesh, cover, and base. The sieve frame is usually made of stainless steel material, which has excellent corrosion resistance and stability. The sieve mesh is a critical part of the screening equipment and is divided into two types: metal sieve mesh and textile sieve mesh. The aperture and specifications of the sieve mesh are determined according to national or international standards to ensure the consistency and comparability of the screening results.
[ Working principle ]
A standard test sieve uses vibration or rotation to produce stratification and screening of the tested material on the sieve surface. The material with a particle size larger than the sieve opening is retained on the sieve surface, while the material with a particle size smaller than the sieve opening passes through the sieve opening and falls to the next layer of the sieve surface or collection container. By counting the weight or number of residual materials on each layer of the sieve surface, the particle size distribution of the material can be calculated.
[ Application scope ]
Standard test sieves can be used for screening various granular materials, such as ores, fertilizers, pigments, powdered drugs, food additives, etc. Moreover, they can also be used for liquid-solid separation, such as sludge filtration, suspended particles, etc.
[ Operating method ]
First, evenly distribute the screened material on the sieve surface, then stack the sieves together in order of increasing sieve opening, and assemble the top cover and base. Then, place the sieves in the screening instrument, set the vibration or rotation parameters, and start the equipment for screening. After the screening is complete, collect the material on each layer of the sieve surface and weigh or count it to obtain particle size distribution data.
[ Advantages ]
Standard test sieves have the advantages of easy operation, accurate results, and good reproducibility, making them a common tool for laboratory particle size analysis. Additionally, as the sieve mesh specifications are strictly established according to standards, it ensures that the measurement results are consistent and comparable between different laboratories.
