Qingdao Decent Group recently delivered two specialized mobile mining laboratory units to Burkina Faso, addressing critical gaps in on-site mineral analysis for West Africa’s booming mining sector.
In November 2025, Qingdao Decent Group shipped two specialized mobile mining laboratories from its Qingdao facility to Burkina Faso—one configured for sample preparation and the other for chemical analysis—addressing critical on-site analytical needs across West Africa’s rapidly expanding mining sector. Both containerized laboratories are currently route to their destination.
This project primarily serves Burkina Faso’s increasingly active mining activities, providing a complete on-site sample preparation and analysis solution.

Burkina Faso’s abundant mineral resources and intensifying mining activities are driving demand for practical on-site analysis solutions. These solutions eliminate the time-consuming, costly sample transportation to offsite laboratories—and prevent sample degradation during transit—common challenges in conventional mining analysis workflows.
Through the flexible and mobile mining laboratory, the Burkina Faso client can effectively improve analysis and exploration efficiency. This is where the specialized mobile mining laboratory solution from DECENT came into play.
Challenges to Efficiency and Reliability of Mobile Mining Labs for On-Site Analysis
Burkina Faso’s mining areas are rich in resources, but their remote location and high-temperature, dusty environment place higher demands on on-site laboratories.
The laboratory must meet the following requirements:
- Independent and controllable space and a robust frame structure
- Dedicated internal equipment must have a robust external frame to resist corrosion and the effects of the external environment
- A filtration and dust removal system must effectively filter the air inside the laboratory to ensure the accuracy of experimental data.
Other specific challenges primarily lay in how the containerized laboratory space design could meet the client’s experimental needs:
Functional Integration and Space Optimization
A primary challenge was the scientific arrangement of complex sample preparation and chemical analysis workflows within the limited confines of a shipping container. The layout had to ensure all specialized DECENT equipment was easy to operate, maintain, and conform to essential ergonomic standards.
Spatial Independence and Environmental Adaptability
The interior space of the containerized laboratory needs to be modified and reinforced according to the surrounding environment, such as adding insulation layers and installing air conditioning, to better adapt the experimental space to the local operating environment.
Rapid and Efficient Deployment
This is a key advantage of containerized laboratories. Rapid deployment upon arrival at the site helps customers save costs and make subsequent exploration decisions. This critical need necessitated a “plug-and-play” capability, making comprehensive factory pre-installation and commissioning essential before shipment.
The DECENT Customized “Dual-Core” Mobile Mining Laboratory Solution
Based on the client’s specific experimental scale and operational procedures, Qingdao Decent Group engineered a complete, tailor-made solution consisting of a 20HC Sample Preparation Laboratory and a 40HQ Chemistry Laboratory. This DECENT two-container cluster forms the mobile mining laboratory.

The 20HC Sample Preparation Laboratory
This container focuses on the core function of sample pretreatment, the mobile mining laboratory features a scientifically laid-out dual sample preparation workbench to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
- Scientific Layout: The laboratory features a scientifically laid-out dual sample preparation workbench designed to ensure a smooth, unidirectional flow of samples and efficient operation.
- Stable Operation: To prevent vibration from affecting precision equipment and samples, the mobile mining laboratory must ensure stable operation. Based on this consideration, the DECENT professional team pre-planned space for the installation of a jaw crusher and reinforced this location with anti-vibration devices to prevent vibration transmission caused by the jaw crusher’s operation.
- High-efficiency dust filtration: Dust is generated by equipment such as workbenches and jaw crushers inside the container, necessitating the use of ventilation ducts connected to specialized dust collection systems. The reliability of DECENT crushing equipment is a foundational element of the preparation process.

The 40HQ Chemistry Laboratory
Purpose-Built for Mineral Sample Chemical Analysis: This mobile mining laboratory space is configured with workbenches, analytical balance workstations, and general-purpose lab tables to accommodate clients’ future equipment installations. The design integrates safety and user comfort while strictly adhering to local laboratory safety regulations, with operator protection as its core priority.
- Chemical Safety: All interior work surfaces utilize corrosion-resistant materials to safely handle high-hazard chemicals.
- Essential Safety Equipment: Laboratory-grade handwashing sinks and emergency eyewash stations are installed to minimize harm during chemical splash incidents.
- Air Filtration System: Fume hoods serve as the primary protection barrier when handling high-hazard chemicals. Additionally, an acid gas scrubber system is provided for effective exhaust gas treatment. The air handling system is designed to manage the high heat and dust common in the operating environment while protecting internal sensitive equipment.
Guaranteeing Success with Factory Pre-Installation
To achieve the client’s core goal of rapid on-site deployment, Qingdao Decent Group adopted a stringent “factory pre-installation and commissioning” model immediately after the laboratory’s physical manufacturing was complete.
Full Integration: All internal equipment, intricate piping, electrical circuits, and the entire dust removal system were fully installed, connected, and integrated within the factory workshop before the final delivery process began.
Systematic Commissioning: Each component and system underwent rigorous, systematic commissioning tests. This guaranteed the normal and reliable operation of every single piece of equipment, and confirmed that the overall dust removal system, connected to each device, achieved the required filtration and extraction efficiency.
This comprehensive pre-delivery operating mode dramatically minimizes the uncertainty and time costs typically associated with on-site construction and installation in remote locations. It ensures that the mobile mining laboratory can quickly achieve full operational status after simple, basic connections to site power and water utilities upon arrival.
The project’s successful delivery in November 2025 injects new levels of efficiency and analytical accuracy into the customer’s on-site mineral sample preparation and chemical analysis workflow. This successful deployment not only verified the exceptional reliability of DECENT containerized laboratories in extreme environments but also significantly deepened Sino-African mining cooperation. By supplying professional and reliable equipment, Qingdao Decent Group is actively supporting and accelerating crucial mining exploration activities across the African region.
