Project Challenges

The core challenge faced by this upgrade is how to significantly improve the processing efficiency of large batches of samples and reduce the labor intensity of operators while ensuring the high accuracy of the fire assay process. Specific difficulties include:

  • Efficiency Bottlenecks: In the traditional fire assay process, the melting, ash blowing, pouring and other links of the sample mostly rely on manual operation of the crucible one by one, which is time-consuming and labor-intensive, and it is difficult to cope with the increasing number of samples.
  • High Labor Intensity: Frequent manual operations such as taking and placing crucibles and pouring in high temperature environments require extremely high physical strength and operational standardization of personnel, which can easily lead to fatigue and potential operational errors.
  • Limited Batch Processing Capacity: The original equipment is difficult to achieve synchronous and efficient processing of multiple samples in the same batch, which restricts the overall output.

 

Project Solution

Relying on its extensive technical expertise and experience in laboratory equipment development, Qingdao Decent Group designed a tailored semi-automatic fire assay system that integrates advanced tools and automation technologies. This solution enables key steps in the fire assay process to be mechanized and partially automated, particularly through the implementation of efficient multi-sample batch handling.

The core components of the system include: fusion furnace, cupellation furnace, crucible tumbler, electric crucible loader, multi-load and multi-pour systems.

These devices work together seamlessly to allow for the simultaneous handling of multiple crucibles, significantly improving workflow efficiency and reducing operator workload. Through reasonable design and layout, it ensures that the installation of new equipment conforms to the efficient experimental process and maximizes the use of laboratory space.

           

Project Implementation

Qingdao Decent Group provides full-process services, from early docking and communication to equipment manufacturing, and then to on-site installation, commissioning and product training. Each link is strictly implemented in accordance with unified standards.

During the communication stage, the DECENT technical team had in-depth exchanges with customers many times, aiming to fully understand the current situation and needs of the laboratory and formulate a complete set of solutions in a targeted manner. During the equipment manufacturing process, the production team strictly controlled the equipment details to ensure that each device met the industry standards and technical parameters required by customers. During the on-site installation and commissioning process, the company sent a professional technical team to the site to install the equipment and debug it one by one according to the pre-planned layout, and finally conducted comprehensive and systematic equipment practice training for laboratory operators.
